Persistence is Key

There is a quote that I like, one that helps me when I feel like my efforts are going nowhere and it feels like it will take so long to achieve anything.

“Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway.”

It reminds me that even when things are not going the way I had hoped, when a post doesn’t get liked as much as I thought it might, when I don’t see the reaction I expected, it’s ok because not everything can be achieved overnight, all dreams take time to achieve and the time will pass anyway so I may as well be passing the time aiming for a dream than passing the time and looking back in regret that I never tried.

To imply I had zero achievements towards this dream wouldn’t be 100% true, I am miles away from quitting the 9-5 but I am currently fortunate enough to have 450 followers on TikTok which is not big but it’s certainly more than I expected I would get, 35mm black and white photos of Brutalism feels niche and to find over 400 people that find it interesting is amazing but I do think there are more people out there to find and share with.
